DAB Motors joins the Paris 2024 Olympics spirit by interpreting the Games’ five rings with its custom electric motorbikes. These vehicles, proposed by its service branch DAB Custom Studio (DCS), are color-coded just like the Olympic rings. Each shade represents a sport: surfing for blue, tennis for green, basketball for yellow, boxing for red, and skateboarding for black. Titled ‘A la gloire du sport’, the collection uses the DAB 1α motorbike as its canvas.

The brief is to transform some of them into sports-inspired rides in time for the Paris 2024 Olympics, which run between July 26th and August 11th. DAB Motors, a French motorcycle brand acquired by Peugeot Motocycles in 2023, has launched its first production electric motorbike, DAB 1α. Clients can then request personalization and turn their ride into one of these Paris 2024 Olympics-inspired designs.

Dab custom studio interprets five rings of olympics

DAB Motors’ founder Simon Dabadie lists his favorite sports in this year’s Paris 2024 Olympics. When he’s done, he brings it to the DAB Custom Studio team, and in return, they come up with five custom electric motorbikes inspired by these sports while interpreting the five rings of the Games. The design proposals give birth to ‘A la gloire du sport’, which clients of the first production electric motorbike, DAB 1α, can request to fit into their model.

Surfers may vibe with the free-spirited style of the blue variant. Painted in ocean blue, the electric motorbike has a front luggage rack and a surfboard rack, as well as a tailored DAB surfboard they can use in big waves. The model also comes with a blue neoprene seat, off-road tires, and a silver fork, so riders can take their custom vehicle to coastal areas, perhaps even to Biarritz. This is the place where the DAB brand started, and in a way, this blue version is a homage to the company’s beginnings.

DAB 1α electric motorbike as the sports canvas

Tennis fans can indulge in the shade of green for the custom DAB electric motorbike. It has a carriage for tennis balls and picnic items, and its style spotlights the green and white tartan seat, racket holder, and custom brown tires. It’s safe to say that this model is Paris 2024 Olympics-ready, set to cruise next to the court before the games begin.

Speaking of courts, the yellow nods to basketball and the energy that takes place in the arena during the game. It also pays tribute to the game’s connections to street culture and hip-hop music, shining through this vibrant shade. The DAB Custom Studio’s electric motorbikes don’t leave boxing and skateboarding behind.

Tennis (Green)

Red for the former and black for the latter. The red paint job denotes strength and resilience, accentuated with golden side panels to recall the design of championship belts. There are boxing gloves displayed on the seat strap. On top of this, the DAB flat front plate even features Mike Tyson’s famous face tattoo.

Skateboarding and BMX culture converge for the black model, forged with carbon bodywork, hand-painted graffiti, and BMX handlebar foam. It also has crash pods, a tubular protection structure, and a skate rack. The ‘A la gloire du Sport’ range is available when registering for the DAB 1α on DAB Motors’ website.
