Kaolin Porcelain Surfaces, a premier porcelain manufacturer, and acclaimed designer Greg Natale unveil the Dimora Series, marking a significant milestone as the world’s first Australian-born collaboration in porcelain tile design. This series features three distinct collections – Villa, Grotta, and Casa – each inspired by different facets of Natale’s architectural projects, spanning from industrial materials used in brutalist architecture to the maximalist qualities of Milanese design.

For their latest product range addition, Kaolin, one of the few Green Certified tile manufacturers globally, teams up with multi-award-winning Australian designer Greg Natale. Renowned for his masterful use of pattern and color, Natale brings his bold signature style to this collaboration, meeting Kaolin’s steadfast commitment to sustainability. Each tile aligns with the highest environmental standards, incorporating sustainable practices such as recycling materials and the local sourcing of raw materials. The result is a porcelain tile series that exemplifies both artistic expression and environmental responsibility.

metropolitan luxury, brutalist charm & italian eclecticism

The Villa Collection, inspired by Natale’s Mosman House, features four brass and black geometric designs over porcelain marble-look slabs. The designs – Calacatta Viola, Nero Antico, Rosa Levanto, and Pink Patagonia – feature a slightly leathered, honed finish that mirrors the authentic look and feel of real stone. Rosa Levanto is crafted using Kaolin’s patented Endless Vein 2.0 technology, ensuring a high-end appearance without the maintenance concerns of real marble which makes them ideal for both floor and wet area use.

The Grotta Collection, taking cues from Natale’s Kyle Bay House, explores modernist designs reminiscent of the 1970s Brutalist movement. This collection includes Altamira, Laas Gaal, Matera, and Bora tiles, each showcasing intricate textures inspired by industrial materials like concrete, brick, and bronze. Grotta’s unique finishes – such as the deeply textured surface of Laas Gaal with real copper inlays – highlight Kaolin’s advanced manufacturing techniques and the charm of urban design.

Finally, the Casa Collection pays homage to the designer’s childhood home. This collection features two geometric tiles that reflect the maximalist qualities of Milanese design. With muted, tonal palettes and a soft, warm woven look, Casa tiles are versatile and suitable for any modern interior.
