STIPFOLD achieves spatial continuity through biomorphic design

Studio Stipfold introduces Curvix, a 200 sqm penthouse located in the city center of Batumi, Georgia, featuring a biomorphic interior. Meticulously crafted using prefabricated fiber concrete panels, the top-floor residential interior design project provides captivating views of Batumi Central Boulevard and the nearby seaside. The unique layout features a central tunnel flanked by two flat-ceilinged wings, aiming to harmonize these distinct spaces. This harmony is achieved by cladding the main tunnel with a biomorphic shell of fiber-concrete panels, enhancing the sense of spatial continuity and guiding visitors from a compressed corridor to an expansive area. The design fluidity is emphasized as the concrete seamlessly transitions from walls to the floor.

concrete and mosaic textures Maintain a minimalist essence

To counterbalance the concrete’s starkness and introduce warmth, the team at Stipfold strategically places parquet islands in the dining, lounge, and bedroom zones. The living room, centrally positioned, creates a welcoming ambiance, while the bedrooms occupy the right wing, and the kitchen and dining area reside in the left wing. Maintaining a minimalist essence, the raw fiber-concrete backdrop allows biophilic design elements to take center stage. Lush green plants enhance the space, establishing a connection between the interior and the scenic views framed by a sizable arched window. The guest bathroom continues the design narrative, with micro mosaics tracing a path from the floor, seamlessly merging into the walls, and culminating at the ceiling, demonstrating design coherence throughout.
