The 3CE Stylenanda flagship store Pink Space Hotel in Myeongdong, Seoul, offers a landmark retail concept that invites shoppers into an immersive, otherworldly experience. Realized by xsxl, the design was devised with the dual goals of maximizing commercial entertainment and maintaining brand identity, reinterpreting traditional motifs into a new visual language that reflects contemporary trends.

The studio weaves novel references to a spacecraft across the interior, with each floor’s program envisioned as a futuristic hotel — as the luxury destination of an intergalactic journey. Bold hues of pink extend from the facade within, contrasted with chromatic finishes, kinetic plants, and metallic Art Deco features.

xsxl otherworldly retail concept wrapped in pink

On the first floor’s waiting area, Korean studio xsxl integrates a large arch entrance and a promotional space with a vast planetary chandelier hanging over the high ceiling. In the reception area, visitors are welcomed to ‘check-in’ to the Pink Space Hotel, enveloped in the brand’s primary hues enlivened by futuristic elements. Moving through, the second floor, named Alien Garden, showcases the products in an exhibition-like character while unfolding a mystical ambiance evoking a tranquil garden in space animated with moving plants and contrasting metallic fountains.

The third floor, modeled after the corridors and cockpit of a spacecraft in a rounded form, consists of independent spaces designed for live studios or makeup streaming services, providing a sense of expansion that overcomes the limitations of narrow spaces. The suite room on the fourth floor is illuminated by Art Deco style fixtures and features a wide lounge area connected to the fitting room, inspired by the glamorous wardrobe concept of the Pink Space Hotel’s VIP room. Finally, the fifth floor cafe is reminiscent of a 1920s casino lounge and whiskey bar. Highly-saturated shades of pink and striking neon inject it with character, reinterpreting the mood of a hotel bar and a game room while emphasizing glamour.
